Finbarr O'Dempsey

Part-II Architectural Assistant. 

Brought up in the North West of England, Finbarr studied architecture at the University of Cambridge and London Metropolitan University. He gained valuable experience at DSDHA where he assisted on projects such as City Forum, a mixed use masterplan including a residential tower, Tower Hotel in West London and South Molton Street Public Realm.

Finbarr originally joined the practice in 2012 and returned in early 2015. During this period he has played a key part in the design and delivery of a wide variety of projects including the Helsinki South Harbour Competition, Bow Arts Trust and ‘Possible Futures – 7 Days in Poplar’ with the British Council.

In his spare time, Finbarr undertakes independent design and research projects including an Open Space residency with Aldeburgh Music at Snape Maltings in Suffolk. Finbarr is a visiting critic and assistant tutor at the University of Cambridge and for the last 2 years has taught Reach Cambridge Summer School’s ‘Introduction to Architecture’ alongside Jennifer Gutteridge.
